Top Sights in Colombo Fort

Colombo Fort, also known as Colombo 01, is the central part of the city of Colombo.

The main fortifications of Colombo Fort were established by the Portuguese in the early 16th century, followed by the Dutch in 1656, and the British in 1796.

Although the ramparts of Colombo Fort were removed by the British in 1870, the area is still known as Colombo Fort.
