The film is a spiritual sequel to the 2012 movie "Son of Sardaar."

The story follows Jassi (Ajay Devgn), who finally travels to Scotland after a 13-year wait for his visa to join his wife (Neeru Bajwa), but receives a divorce notice.

He then meets Rabia, a Pakistani mother, and her stepdaughter Saba, and agrees to pretend to be Saba's father, a Sikh colonel, to help Saba get married.
